This month was very busy! Rachel started preschool and is one of the best students in her class. Mom gets to help out at least once a month in her class. Andrea received the Student of the Month Award for Responsibility. We went to the Natural History Museum with the Fisher family and Sade Thompson. Daddy bought a used playground, so the girls and I went to Home Depot for their kid craft day while Daddy and Erik and his friend went and got the playground and assembled it back together at our house. Mommy and the girls got their haircut. We had all the family and the Fisher's over for a Labor Day BBQ and swim party. Then Grandma and Grandpa Bentz stayed and played with the girls while mom and dad extended the monkey bars on our playground set and stained/painted it. We completed the entire project in half a day.
The youth came to our house for a cooking contest, so we had at least 40 people in our family room/kitchen area at the same time. They also went outside in the back yard for part of it and I was so happy to have a beautiful back yard for them to use.
We got to go to a Diamond Back Game with Metro Fire Equipment. It was a lot of fun. Grandpa and Grandma joined us. We had yummy food and great company.
My friend, Shantel came to visit so we had fun on two different days. We went to the Gilbert Water Tower Splash Pad and had lunch and played in the water. It was so nice to see Shantel and spend time with her again. She is such a good loving mother. Then we got to go to the Children's museum with her. The kids loved it!!! We spent a long time climbing a huge play structure at the main entrance of the building. We attempted to take a selfie at the very top. They had fun tricycles for the kids to ride through a pretend car wash, fun vacuum machines that sucked up a scarf or ball and shot them back out, but the coolest part was painting a castle that looked like it had big blobs on it. Those big blobs were layers and layers of paint. They made the castle 2 years ago, so some areas had chunks of paint 6 inches thick.
I got to go to Wicked with my good friend Diana Clark. It was such a good musical. They are so incredibly talented.
I took my cub scouts up by Payson to the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. We also ate lunch and hiked in the woods. Our whole family was able to come along as well as other families members of the scouts. It was a lot of fun.
We celebrated Daddy's 31st birthday!!! We got him a lot of Packer stuff: a wallet, and shirt. Jessica is pretty good in roller blades and the girls love to craft with Grandma.
Last, but not least was our big Fundraiser for Capri Greenberg! It turned out really well. There was a lot of drama leading up to it the last few days, but it was all worth it in the end. We raised over $12,000 for their family. So many people came we had to buy more food and set up more chairs. The dance was a blast, the face painting was awesome, and all the kids, especially Capri had a BLAST!!!
Rachel finished up her tap, jazz, and tumbling class. The girls love to play outside on their playground!
Highlights from the month:
Jessica still calls mom, "dadda" But she does say, "Dadda go" when Steve leaves for work. "dump" for jump, and "down"
The girls tried to bait the ants by scattering food all over the patio outside.
We had the primary program and Andrea sang a duet with Sadie and me and Christy. We sang a Child's Prayer. The girls did awesome!
Jessica's second top tooth finally came through.
Mom got to help in Andrea's class. She is one of the best readers.
Andrea can read her Fancy Nancy beginning reader books now. At least a 1st grade level.
At the end of the month Jessica did finally say, "Mom and Momma".
