Washington D.C.

As of right now I do not have any pictures of Washington D.C., because we lost our camera and Kayla and Tyson have currently lost theirs as well, but eventually we will have a few from the trip. It was awesome!  The Hall family was so generous in lodging and feeding us for five days and taking us all around D.C. Tyson and Kayla were our tour guides. They spent almost all of their vacation taking us to all the different sites.  Thank you Tyson and Kayla and Hall family for all the sacrifices you made for us so we could have such a fantastic vacation. On Saturday we toured the Natural History Museum and got to see the Capital building and Washington monument on our walk there, we also saw the Arlington Cemetery. That night we had Kayla and Tyson's Open House which was great.  Everyone that came was so nice. We were very glad we were able to be there for that.
The next day we went to church with them.  That evening we played games with the whole family. We had a blast! It was so fun to be all together.  Monday we went to the Holocaust museum. It was good/sad. It was kind of funny with Andrea though because she kept making loud happy noises and it was supposed to be somber, so mom and I kept trading off taking Andrea ahead and away from the group and trying to keep her quiet.
Tuesday day was the best touring day.  We went to all of the monuments and Tyson's family came with us to most of the sites. The Lincoln memorial was definitely our favorite. The entire day was beautiful.  It was so neat to be able to see buildings that I have heard about my whole life. We saw the Roosevelt Memorial, Lincoln, Washington, WWII, Vietnam Wall, Supreme Court Building, and Library of Congress. That night we had a lot of fun with the family.  We came back and played volleyball outside while the dads went and got crabs. We had crabs that night fresh from the Harbor. We pounded them with hammers and pulled each piece of meat off. It was actually pretty fun. I normally hate crab, but fresh crab didn't taste bad at all. It actually tasted a lot like chicken.
Wednesday morning we went to the temple while Andrea stayed with Kayla and Tyson. It was a nice temple.  The entire trip to D.C. Andrea had a blast with Daniel! She absolutely loved Daniel and he loved her too.  He was always saying, "The baby" "The baby wear pirate hat." We had our pirate hats from the cruise and Daniel loved them.  He was constantly wearing them around the house and wanting Andrea to wear one too. Andrea got so excited every time she saw Daniel, she would kick her legs, flap her arms, and make "oohing" noises. The whole trip was awesome. It was hard to leave. It was really hard for Andrea and Daniel to go separate ways.
