Andrea's first two weeks

This has been a long time in the making. I've worked a little bit on it every now and then and kept saving my drafts. Now it is finally done.

Be ready for a lot of pictures!!! We took a ton of pictures of Andrea her first 2 weeks!
Well, we went to the hospital to be induced, so this was my lovely little pose before the real labor actually started. I was ready to have a baby! :-) The cool things was that I didn't have to be induced because I was starting into labor on my own. They gave me what was called Cervadill and it was supposed to soften everything and get it ready for the next day (12 hours later) when they were going to induce me, but because I was already having contractions on my own the combination of the two things made everything go WAY fast. It was perfect. We got to the hospital at 6:30 ish. Real contractions started around 9:45. Hard contractions started around midnight and I had her at 2:45 in the morning. It was awesome. Everything was perfect. Exactly how I would have planned it! Steve helped me a lot the last 3 hours by giving counter pressure on my back, so he got a nice workout too. :-)

This is where Steve slept for two nights, well two hours of the first night and then a few more the next night. It actually folded out into a pretty nice bed. This was just his first instinct right when we got to the hospital, so I had to take a picture. This is Andrea just hours after she was born. You can see how big she is in comparison with Steve's hand.

I had to put this picture in here because I look a lot more like I just had a baby in this picture than the other one. So, yes, I did go through labor, and I don't look perfect. :-) But, I was definitely perfectly happy!!!
I thought this picture was adorable. Steve actually took all of the pics in the hospital, so I honestly don't know the exact times that he took all of these.
We got to go and watch her get her first bath the next morning. She's not a big fan of baths, I don't think many babies are.
This is what her official picture is going to look like.
Here's a close up of her last one.
Daddy got to push her up and down the hall for her bath. I walked slowly along. :-)
Grandpa and Grandma Barclay came to visit us in the hospital for a little bit. They made the long trip all the way up to Provo just to see Andrea for a few minutes. I know it was a big sacrifice, but it meant so much to us. Thank you mom and dad.
They also sent us those beautiful flowers in the background.
I finally got a picture of the proud daddy and his little girl. He might look just a little tired in this movie. It can't be easy having your first baby in the middle of your first year of law school. :-)
Daddy dressed her in her first outfit to go home from the hosptial. You can tell how much she was enjoying being dressed. Actually, she likes being dressed once the clothes are on, she hates when her clothes are off. She hates being cold.
This is the full outfit that we picked out to bring her home in. She looks like a little Eskimo.
Right when we got home Scott, Steph, and Casen were there. They helped us so much by vacuuming the floor and running errands for us. Thank you Scott and Steph. Steph looks gorgeous in this pic.
Casen kept wanting to get close to look at Andrea. They are going to be great friends!
Kaydence just kept pointing at her. I tried to catch it on camera.
I had to catch one of Scotty. I love this picture!
There's Johnbar with all the little girlies.
Markell, you can't take her home with you. You must give her back! :-)
We love her long skinny fingers, so Steve took several pictures of her hands and this was one of the best ones. Steve did a fantastic job. I love how her face is showing in the background!
Markell made her little headband on their drive up to our house. The bow fell off, but the head band fit great. Thank you Scott, Steph, Casen, John, Markell, and Kaydence for coming to see her. It meant a lot to us.
Grandma and Granpa Bentz and Great Grandma Boy came to visit for 2 weeks. They got there Sunday night. The day we came home from the hospital. Look at this proud Grandpa. There will be many more pictures of her and her Grandpa to come. :-)
Grandma Bentz came and enjoyed the baby, but also helped me complete several sewing projects and took me shopping. Which was really nice to get out of the house, because I was still adjusting to being home all day. :-)
Two very proud Grandmas!!
I think Grandpa is really enjoying her, what do you think?

I had to post this one because they both had the same face.

I love this picture because Andrea is looking up at Grandma.

A nice close up of Andrea.

The proud and very happy parents!

The cute new born faces.

Mom stayed the first two nights to help me with Andrea at night. I would feed her and mom would burp her and get her back to sleep. She really likes people to hold her, so the second mom would put her in her crib she would wake up, so finally mom just put her in bed with her. This picture is so cute. If you look closely Andrea is smiling!

Daddy admiring his beautiful baby.
Grandpa Barclay stopped by to see her for a little bit. I think he's getting addicted. :-)

More cuddling with daddy!

Beautiful.

This was her favorite position for the first two weeks of her life. Right on Grandpa Bentz's belly.
Grandma Bentz and baby Andrea.

I love this smile. I think this Grandpa is happy!

She wore this dress on Sunday. Even though she didn't go to church it was fun to put her in a dress anyway.

She smiles all of the time in her sleep and we caught this one on film.

Then of course we had to show this face too.

Another smile caught on film while she was in her car seat dreaming away. A lot of people would say that it was just gas, but I'm convinced that it's because she can still remember a lot a
This is her out at her first restaurant with the family.

The four generation picture!
This is what she thinks of the car seat.
Proud grandma and grandpa just before they left.
Another smile
Thinking. . . Hum, so these are my parents, this is earth, huh.
Cute pajamas, just had to take a picture of course.

The very blessed, thankful, and very excited new family!
